MP for Worthing West
Sir Peter Bottomley has been the MP for Worthing West since 1997.
He was first elected in 1975 and has since held three Ministerial posts in Employment, Transport and Northern Ireland (1984-1990) and was knighted in 2011 for Public Service.
Sir Peter has been campaigning for leasehold justice and reform inside and outside Parliament since 2013, chairing regular meetings at Westminster on leasehold and leasehold issues, appearing in the media and speaking at leasehold conferences; following a landmark legal case in his constituency brought what he describes as “legal torture” to his attention.
Sir Peter is also Co. Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Leasehold and Commonhold Reform.
